A Simple Styling Trick to Make Your Leather Jacket Look Chic in 2021

Want to make your leather jacket look cool in 2021? Go for a super oversized fit & boxy silhouette + add a few on trend accents like chunky jewelry & chain sandals!

Leather jackets are a fashion staple, they are a classic and never go out of style, but if you’re styling a leather jacket outfit in 2021, there are a few simple things to remember. Oversized, boxy silhouette is where it’s at right now. Don’t be afraid to size up to get the look. In this post, I am actually wearing my husband’s leather jacket which I tend to borrow from him quite regularly, and I always get complements about the look and the fit whenever I wear it.

Though longer leather jackets are definitely in right now, you can also experiment with a cropped version as long ad you get that oversized, boxy look right. Personally, I think the oversized fit is great simply because it’s much more comfortable and you’re able to layer things under your jacket no problem.

Though leather jackets and jeans are a match made in fashion heaven, sometimes I like to pair them with dressier items like black tailored pants. The look is a bit more polished, yet still relaxed and cool.

Chain strap sandals are a huge trend this season. Try pairing your black tailored pants (I prefer to cuff my pants to show off the chain ankle strap) with chain-embellished sandals and an oversized leather jacket.

Chain jewelry isn’t going anywhere, at least this season. So, you’ll be seeing a lot of chunky chain necklaces and bracelets for Spring & Summer 2021. The most versatile piece of jewelry you can own right now, these work really well with pretty much everything from super casual pieces to something entirely dressy!
